Ready…… Set…… RUN! The Chaska River City Days 5K Run will be held on Saturday, July 25th with all proceeds donated to Southern Valley Alliance for Battered Women, Since 1982, The Alliance has assisted over 17,000 victims of domestic abuse in Scott and Carver counties. Domestic Abuse Statistics for Scott and Carver County 2014 saw an overall increase in the cases of domestic violence that Southern Valley Alliance for Battered Women worked with. Our Abuse Statistics page features a breakdown, by zip code/community, of the 17,750 cases of domestic violence that Southern Valley Alliance for Battered Women worked with over a 32-year period. Of the 20 communities in Scott and Carver Counties that Southern Valley Alliance for Battered Women serves, five had a decrease in the number of reported cases of domestic violence and one had no change from the previous year.
