  • 2012 Abuse Statistics Available

    2012 saw an overall drop in the cases of domestic violence that Southern Valley Alliance for Battered Women worked with.  Our Abuse Statistics page features a breakdown, by zip code/community, of the 16,317 cases of domestic violence that Southern Valley Alliance for Battered Women worked with over a 30-year period.  Of the 20 communities in Scott and Carver Counties that Southern Valley Alliance for Battered Women services, only three had an increase in the number of reported cases of domestic violence from the previous year.   • SVABW recognized by Charities Review Council

    Southern Valley Alliance For Battered Women is recognized As the first Non-Profit Agency in Carver and Scott Counties to earn the Charities Review Council “Meets All Standards” Seal. Southern Valley Alliance for Battered Women has been awarded the Charities Review Council “Meets All Standards” Seal indicating that it meets all sixteen of its Accountability Standards. Nonprofit organizations such as Southern Valley Alliance for Battered Women earn the Seal by voluntarily participating in the Council’s online Accountability Wizard.
